Physics 282 - Techniques of Theoretical Physics

Infinite series, power series; Complex numbers (Application to impedance of circuits); Linear equations; Vectors; Matrices; Transformation of coordinates (Application to special relativity); Partial derivatives; Gradient of a scalar field; Constraints, Lagrange multipliers; Multiple integrals (Application to center of mass and moment of inertia); Cylindrical and spherical coordinates; Transformation of variables, Jacobians; Vector algebra; Vector calculus; Divergence and curl of a vector field; Line integrals (Application to work and EMF); Gauss' law; Stokes' theorem; Fourier series.
