Hadronic Matrix Elements for Probes of CP Violation

Electric dipole moments are amongst the most sensitive probes of theories beyond the standard model and novel mechanisms for CP violation. The interpretation of searches for EDMs of nucleons, atoms, and molecules depends on computations of hadronic matrix elements of underlying CP-violating operators. This workshop will assess the present status of these computations and develop a roadmap for pursuing refined hadronic matrix element calculations. The workshop will bring together experts in lattice QCD, QCD sum rules, Dyson Schwinger equations, and effective field theory with an eye toward writing a white paper describing the path toward reliable EDM matrix element evaluations.
