Recent Developments in Semiclassical Probes of Quantum Field Theories

Date:
Thursday, March 17, 2016 - 9:00am to Saturday, March 19, 2016 - 2:00pm
Location:

Lederle Graduate Research Tower (LGRT) 419B, UMass Amherst

This workshop will cover a range of related topics, including resurgence and asymptotic analysis, phenomena in compactified gauge theories, path integral complexification, and others, in which considerable progress has been made in recent years. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together a group of experts and a group of more phenomenologically-oriented high-energy theorists in order to bring broader attention to the most interesting theoretical developments. In particular, the connection of these developments in QFT to phenomenology and practical particle physics is largely unexplored, and a goal of this workshop is to provide opportunities to initiate new research into phenomenological and model-building applications.

Co-organizers:
Patrick Draper (U.C. Santa Barbara & UMass Amherst)
Nathaniel Craig (U.C. Santa Barbara)
