Biophysics Grant Writing Workshop!

Please join us at a Center for Biological Physics Grant Writing Workshop on July 15. Coffee and Lunch will be provided complements of a TEFD Mutual Mentoring Grant. The morning will provide an opportunity for you to "pitch" your grant and receive feedback from your peers. Tobias Baskin will share his considerable expertise with a talk titled "Controlling the Flow of Information in Writing." Readers will be available to read and comment on your proposals.

Five College Biophyhsics Network Luncheon, Thursday April 21!

Join us for the next Five College Biophysics Network Lunch, which will feature a short talk by Lori Goldner from the Physics Department at UMass. Lori will discuss "The Possibility of FRET as a Complement to NMR for Structural Determination." Lively discussion to follow!
This week we will also discuss ideas for a grant-planning workshop in May. Please come with your ideas!

This week's Five College Biophysics Network Lunch will feature a short talk by Nathan Derr from Smith College; "Investigating the collective motility of dynein motor ensembles using structural DNA nanotechnology." As always, lively discussion is expected!
Additionally, the first 15-20 minutes of the meeting will be devoted to a short presentation by representatives from the Office of Research Development, who will be discussing, e.g., their investigator initiated workshop program and the NSF NRT program.
As always, LUNCH IS PROVIDED, complements of a UMass TEFD Mutual Mentoring grant.
