Special notes:

The direct detection of gravitational waves (GWs) has opened a new window on the universe. The first GW observatory with deep, cosmic reach will be the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), with launch anticipated around 2032. Finding new ways to probe cosmology using current and anticipated GW data is an active topic. In this talk I will describe the LISA mission, other future observatories, and the insights into the physics of the cosmos that we can gain from GWs.
