Upper division physics or astrophysics majors needed to serve as in-class TAs for Physics 281 (Computational Physics) for Spring 2019

A section of Physics 281 will be taught 9:15am-11:15am Tues-Thurs in the Spring, 2019 semester.  One or two undergraduate TAs with suitable experience will be hired to help P281 students during the class time.  Students will be working in the Python language on their own or borrowed laptops.

Applicants for this position should have previously passed Physics 281 with a grade of B or better, and be familiar with the Python language (whether or not that was used in your section of P281).  Familiarity with, or demonstrated ability to lean about, the following topics is desirable for this position: Downloading and installing the Anaconda Python distribution, working with Jupyter Notebooks and with the Spyder IDE.

TAs must be available to help students 9:00am to 11:15am Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional meeting per week to be scheduled for TA meetings, for a total of five to six hours per week.  The salary for this position is $11/hour.
