Supersolid state of matter continues to puzzle and amaze scientists

UMass Amherst is one of the leading centers for experimental (Bob Hallock) and theoretical (Nikolay Prokof'ev and Boris Svistunov) research on supersolidity. Recently Prokof'ev and Svistunov published an article in the APS online journal "Physics" outlining the current understanding of this state.
