New super-resolution microscopy facility fundedProf. Jennifer Ross and colleagues in Biology were awarded an NSF-MRI
grant to build a state-of-the-art fluorescence microscope to observe single molecules inside living cells. The instrument, to be housed in Hasbrouck Lab, will become a user facility to create super-resolution images of cellular structures, such as the high-resolution, single molecule image of an EOS-tubulin
protein in a mitotic cell shown here.
