They were early developers of student response systems, of techniques in blended (online and classroom) learning, and of team-based learning techniques. The department is also known for its active role in teacher training for both graduate and undergraduate students. Many departmental faculty members have been recognized with university teaching awards.

A listing of course offerings in the department is available at our online Course Catalog. The schedule for any given semester is available at our Schedule of Courses.

Registration issues for physics courses, such as trouble registering for a course or requests to be put on a waiting list for oversubscribed courses, can be addressed to the physics department Undergraduate Program Coordinator, Patty Ryan.

Tutoring services are offered for most undergraduate physics courses by a cadre of physics graduate students. Find their rates and contact information on our Tutors page.
