PHY-890: Advanced Theoretical Physics
Physics 890A will consist of a discussion of topics in theoretical physics, including chiral perturbation theory, effective field theory, superconductivity, quantum gravity, etc. Students are expected to be facile with quantum field theory and covariant perturbation theory and will be expected to work out a number of exercises in each topic. Some of the discussion will take place at the level of modern research.
