Upper division physics majors needed to help grade Physics 120 (Big Bang) for Spring 2018.

Grading help needed for Physics 121 (Einstein's Dice) for Fall 2017.

Big Bang is a 4-credit course that satisfies the physical science (PS) general education requirement and covers a variety of topics in Special and General Relativity and Cosmology. Homework for the course consists primarily of weekly writing assignments; roughly 1000-word essays. There are also two term papers (one mid semester and one final) each roughly 2500 words. Applicants for the grading job must be skilled at writing and editing.

The job requires a 10-hour/week commitment on average (but somewhat irregular) and pays $11/hr. Two and a half hours a week are spent in class (MWF 1:25-2:15 pm) , one hour a week in a training meeting, the rest grading papers.

Interested parties should contact Prof. Guy Blaylock and be prepared to submit references and a writing sample.
