New faculty colleague: Maria Kilfoil

The department welcomes Maria Kilfoil, who joins our faculty to start up a new effort in experimental biophysics. Her laboratory uses quantitative microscopy techniques to study dynamics in cells, with a view to understanding their mechanical properties. She is teaching a graduate course in Biological Physics this term.
