Scott Hertel receives DOE Early Career award

Assistant Professor Scott Hertel has received a prestigious early Career Award from the Department of Energy. The award, for a period of five years, will fund research that includes the development of a new class of detectors targeting low-mass Dark Matter candidates. His work and this award were featured on UMass News. Congratulations, Scott!
