Abstract:

The excellent quality of the large Run 2 data set collected by the LHC experiments provides a promising avenue to search for signatures of physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM). I will present an overview of current BSM searches at colliders with a focus on searches that use innovative techniques and advanced analysis methods to look for new particles with unusual topologies. I will also discuss the status and plans for BSM searches at the High-Luminosity LHC and at future colliders in the context of the Snowmass 2021 community planning exercise.
